                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 399
                   SOMERVILLE AVENUE, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST LINE
                   OF SOMERVILLE AVENUE SOUTHWEST OF CHEROKEE
                   BOULEVARD FROM M-1 MANUFACTURING ZONE TO C-2
                   CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located at 399 Somerville Avenue, being
              on the northwest line of Somerville Avenue southwest of
              Cherokee Boulevard.
             
              Tract 1, Fay Sims Subdivision of David Knox Tract, as
              shown by plat of record in plat book 27, page 324,
              R.O.H.C., being part of the property described in deed
              book 3072, page 365, R.O.H.C., and all of tax map number
              135F-C-2.
             
         from M-1 Manufacturing Zone to C-2 Convenience Commercial
         District.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
